Offline - A Lesson in Adapters

I haven't been able to post for the last week because I did two not-so smart things: #1 - I went for a short weekend to a mountain hot spring resort and left my computer at my friend Rie's house AND #2 - I let the battery run out before I realized I couldn't plug my 3-pronged, grounded plug into the Japanese, 2-prong-only outlet. And I didn't bring an adapter. Duh. I should know better! But honestly, it's been 20 years since I've been in Japan and I don't think I owned anything with a 3-pronged plug then.

The overnight trip with Saaya's family (sooooo nice, by the way!) turned into me staying 4 nights with them instead of only one, and my computer sat across Tokyo at Rie's house. Once I got back there, I quickly realized I needed to find an adapter, but it took me a couple of days to find one. So, now we are back in business and I can catch up!
